problem with status bar: "media files are missing"

Post by giovanniromeo » Thu Jan 17, 2013 2:33 pm

hi everyone! i'm new user and istalled ableton8 live lite 3 days ago!
it's very pratical but just installed (everythings ok)i did a recording test, then deleted every folder, closed program and emptied the trash. now everytime i open the program in the bar status appears "media files are missing, please click here to learn more". i've tried to search in automatic and manual repair (options suggested by program) but i'm sure that i deleted every file!
what can i do??
tankyou and sorry for my bad english

auto search thru live is terrible

you must have a clip in the set refering to one of the files you deleted, delete all clips in the project

or, if you do want to find the missing

look at the name of the missing file, go find it thro your os's search, then find it thru live's browser, drag it onto the help window where it lists the missing files

it seems you dont actually want to find it? you just want a clear set?...if so, delete everything in the set, all clips, instruments, drumrack, Everything

go into preferences/file-folder and hit 'save as default set'

if that doesnt work, reinstall Live
