Bass pre-amp DIY

Post by ToastedMonkey » Fri Feb 01, 2013 3:49 pm

Hi!

I have a Bass amp, wich Pre-Amp I separated from the speaker.

Its possible to for example, route my bass line channel from ableton, to my Hardware Pre-Amp, and then return to ableton, so i get more control on the bass?

Big up.
Thanks!

Yeah, it depends on your interface's routing options. I do similar things with my Apogee Duet 2, I run audio out of outputs 3/4 into outboard effects/processing, then back into the interface's input to a new track. As long as you make sure everything is set for the right kind of signal, then you'll be fine and it should sound pretty good. Ableton's routing menus are incredibly easy to switch around.

I make organic indie rock/pop with guitars and mics and stuff.

^ yep

Live can handle it and your pre-amp can handle it... as long as your interface/mixer will do the trick then you're all set.
