$234 is just over half the price of the upgrade. You've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

My browser shows $284. If I found it at $234 I'd buy it now.

just think of all the things you could do with the money you'd save!

You have Live8 standard? If yes, then 284 is your final price.

The special upgrade price on release will be only for Suite 8 owners.

Could be, you positive?

It's because Suite owners can't take advantage of the "25% discount and a free upgrade to Live 9" offer - so they have promised a special deal for suite owners when it is released.

there is an offer to get Max for Live at 25% discount - but not with a free upgrade to 9 - alas.

Would be interesting to see who gets the cheapest upgrade path, e.g. what if you are already just "one license short of a full suite"

The cheapest was the flop on the announcement day: 195 from standard to suite.

that wouldn't mean a good deal though. that would be more like bleeding money slowly over time... like a credit card with high interest.

anyone who has purchased all, or almost all, of the components of Suite separately should get an autographed picture of Gerhard Behles with a thank you note.

you're right of course - to get to that position you would have to be certifiably insane

Mine said 209, it has for a while.
However there was a thread a while back where people were comparing thier price but also listing what they bought.
For example whats the difference in upgrade price if you bought add ons, vs Standard by itself.

anyways, I just upgraded.
I still see a future with it.

^ Juan you have M4L right?

mine says 299. i don't have M4L though just straight Suite 8, but having said that it has "(upgrade)" next to it like so "Suite 8 (upgrade)" i wonder if this is causing the confusion for people who purchased the full product vs. the upgrade product. it's hard to decipher between all the bemoaning about being ripped off for something that isn't even available.

Collision is very good, but I don't get why you bought Suite now, if you already had Operator etc.

Oh well, you've done the calculations. I assume you wanted Max, is that it? Otherwise you could have got straight Live 9 and kept Operator etc. Or is that more expensive than buying Suite now?

I had
Suite 8 standard
added on
Sampler
Operator
Analog
Max for Live.

I'm sure there is a little confusion about looking at your account page and seeing 2 prices,
I went for the one higher up on the page that said
25%discount on Suite 8 upgrade to Live 9 Suite for free.

The one at the bottom of the page reads like the price for live if you dont own it.

However on the Live 9 announcement date, my price was 109, I should have clicked then.

Mind boggling, I'll just stick to what's in Live 9 and let people do the maths themsleves! If someone doesn't have Operator etc obviously it's a lot easier a decision.

At a minimum wait until the damn thing is at least actually released. :x

Y'see, I looked at the thread title and thought this was a betting pool for the date the release will actually happen.

Frustrated because I just got my first major tax refund (of two) and want to get the upgrade before I let the cash fritter away on other stuff.
