I've found the Beta to be really solid. I've been really impressed so far. So fingers crossed :D

I tried it a few revisions ago and it seemed to be quite slow and laggy in feel. Hope it's good. Has the beta finished now?
Really looking forward to automation in clip mode and getting some push step sequencing action going. Hopefully someone has an excellent M4L device for note sequencing

The Crucial Question: Is Live 9 Really Ready & Fully Working? Or Will This Be A 2nd Round Of Beta Testing In Reality?
It has been way more stable for me than most of Live 8 was.
I tried it a few revisions ago and it seemed to be quite slow and laggy in feel.
There were some issues with the Library indexer using too much CPU/HD and causing the GUI to lag whenever you'd change between Live and something else, but this seems to have been greatly improved

Not really sure what you mean, you can colour code things how you like them. Always have been able to. What's so special about drums?
funken,

Look forward to your videos.

In Live 8, if you go to preferences > Look Feel > Skin, then change the skin to e.g. Dark Grey, Dark Blue, Midnight, or Tobacco, then look at the drum names to the left of the Midi Note Editor, you will find them hard to read. And the tabs in the preferences and the browser contents are also hard to read. The backgrounds are dark with dark writing. You can't change them with the downloadable skin editor. Once you are in a dark theme for one item, it makes it dark for those items. So dark skins are virtually impossible to use.

Another question: In Live 9, does the mouse wheel work automatically like in the browser like in Word's Navigation pane? That would be great. BTW, I thought of a great suggestion for the midi note editor. Wouldn't it be great if you could raise or lower the volume for each note with the mouse wheel?! Lazy, I know, but great.

It took them sooo long. I think they learned the 8 story. 9 should be flawless at start.
Can't wait.

Yo so just to make sure I'm not missing out - Push and Live 9 are only available to add to your cart on March 5th or after right? No preorder?

yep - 139 quid (pounds) is my price - I was a live 8 m4l and suite owner before.

Not sure it's worth it for me - seems a bit smoother and automation works better.

Mind you I wasted more than 140 quid on useless vsts and sample packs etc. before now which I may never, ever use.

At least if I go with l9 I will be in a good spot for l10.

Anyone know when 10 is supposed to come out??

I can't use 9 because it doesn't have the stuff that will be in Live 10.
