I am looking for a list of emulated instruments in Suite 8. Classic instruments is what I am after.

Which of the organs is closest to a Hammond B3 with rotating speaker?

Fender Rhodes?

and so on....

Is there a list somewhere?

I'm not sure if there is a list somewhere.
The following are only my opions:
Live does not have any useful organs IMO. Go third party with something like NI Vintage Organs or the Genuine Soundware VB3.
Abletons Electric does some reasonable rhodes type sounds. I have found better results with Scarbee Vintage Keys though.
Analog and Operator are great synths and with some tweaking you can cover a very large range of "anlogue" and "digital" synthesis.
I think the piano in 8 is pretty cheesy. They definately improved this in 9.

It all comes down to taste though in the end.

Download the Suite Demo and spend an afternoon going through the live presets and designing patches. Then compare with 3rd party offerings.

Imo the live presets for anything authentic emulated vibes aren't the best. I feel that the best live presets are the ambient soundscape stuff. Again this is just my taste I think (own Monotribe, Minibrute and previously Juno 6/60 and JX3P).

while not being the most accurate emulations, live's instrument racks definitely can give you rhodes/b3/leslie etc.
those with some clever mixing and layering will be fine if you're not looking to be 100% accurate.
that being said just listen through all of the presets and find whichever sound closest to what you're looking for.

the built-in stuff in live is actually better than people make it out be really, just maybe not as fx-heavy as other instruments.

The instrument presets in 9 are way better than the ones in 8. I am a huge Ableton apologist and will find ways to defend almost everything they do, but the individual device presets and library content in 8 are really mediocre, and do not nearly demonstrate all the cool stuff you can do with them.

There is a great Rhodes-y preset in 9 using Electric, Autopan, EQ8 and some reverb. Just used it on a track myself.

I was using the library that came with Suite 8 when I made that post.

Coffee And Cigarets for heavy organ, like Pink Floyd

I was using Moodmaker for softer organ, Grateful Dead and Clapton...

I wish they would completely emulate classic instruments in Suite 9. I like the presets so far better than 8 of course, but I wish I had things like built in Leslie buttons and whatnot.
