Hi,

as far as I know Push cannot be used as an audio interface. Hence, I need to buy a separate device. What can you recommend?
My setup consists of PC and Mac. I focus mainly on production, dj'ing is not my cup of tea, however occassional dj sets/live performances need to be taken into account ;)
The sound must be pristine, but I don't want to spend more than 200 Euro/$250 on audio interface. I'm not interested in plugging in any guitar, but microphone input is obligatory.

Thanks for your help! :)

I've found the Reason Balance to be a cheap, reliable and useful unit. It might suit your needs.

Thank you [art] for your answer. Reason Balance seems to be a good choice, however, I'm not sure if I need Reason software and I guess Reason cost is somewhat included in the price of this device.

Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 (KA6) seems to be a highly regarded choice in that price range. I've been on same EMu 1212M PCI interface for years but checked around for USB interfaces a lot lately. Have you tried on board sound card with ASIO4All? Might work for your needs if just playing softsynths?

NI Komplete Audio 6 here too as secondary on-the-move interface. Great sound, solid build, well-thought-out functionality and some free bits and pieces of software with it too. 4-out means you can use it for external processing as well as cue/monitoring. Hard to beat for the money.

Another vote for the Komplete Audio 6 here.

it replaced an aging white focusrite saffire and I'm pretty happy with it, that said, this is strictly an output device in my setup so I can't vouch for the mic pre's.

I have heard great things about presonus interfaces and some of the new vsl stuff is pretty cheap. I use Studio One software from them and if it's any indication then the hardware is probably top notch.

Somewhat o/t, but as there are so many KA6 users here...

I've recently resurrected an old laptop using Ubuntu & all working well so far. I'd like to get an audio interface that I can also use with my Mac; does anyone have this interface working well under Linux? Google searches have been inconclusive ;)
