Suite 8 and 9 on the same Mac?

I've downloaded suite 9 and have 8 already installed.

I'm in the process of collaborating with someone who is using Suite 8

So my question is if I install Suite 9 will they work side by side independently of each other.

I know this was possible on my PC but not sure on a Mac.

i'm pretty damn sure i was able to open Live 8 and the 9 beta at the same time on my iMac. i'm on a different computer right now or i'd confirm for you.
