Adding the Groove Folder to Places?
Adding the Groove Folder to Places?
Hi I just watched a video of a guy that had his groove folder added to his places column. How do I do this? I've tried dragging the swing and grooves folder over from the core library in the browser but it won't let me and I can't locate it when clicking add folder.

Navigate to the library - find out the location at the link - then add the groove folder

Re: Adding the Groove Folder to Places?
Thanks Dazza, I've tried this and have been successful in getting the grooves folder to my places but the groove folder that I found in my user library did not contain any grooves. When I right click on the groove pool, and ask to go to groove library it directs me to a 'swing and grooves' folder within my core library in my packs. This is the folder that contains all the grooves but I cannot get that to my places.

^ damn, you're right, it's empty.
Er....no idea, but I'd quite like to do it too. Anyone know?

Re: Adding the Groove Folder to Places?
Dazzer, I was able to use your tip from the demo track post to copy the swing and grooves folder from the same place to the ableton library and add it to my places that way. Not sure if this is the right way to do it but it works.
Re: Adding the Groove Folder to Places?
Ah yes, that's quite a cool workaround
Re: Adding the Groove Folder to Places?
It's just quicker having them there, and ranked, to be able to drag them straight over on to my clips.
Re: Adding the Groove Folder to Places?
The wavy lines button doesn't take me to the grooves library, it just opens up that window and I still have to right click and then select Browse Groove Library. Nicer to have a shortcut in Places, that's what it's for right?funken wrote:Why do you wanna do it anyway? What wrong with the old wavy lines button?
