Shameless self-promotion aside...

Post by 3dot... » Tue Mar 05, 2013 1:57 am

shameless self-promotion aside...

these banners you guys have are causing me an eye sore...
not going to name names.. but some of them are really harsh on the eyes

also it interferes with reading the posts in the forum

half of the permanent residents here sport an Ableton tutorial/content site
you guys are great for making stuff for us to use
but...think about it..
you wouldn't want to be bombarded with the same advertisement over and over

I think 2 lines in the sig are 1 for a title and one for an email address will do

thanks

It is over the top.

It's like getting smacked in the face with a cricket bat.

" BUY THIS !!!!! CLICK ON ME !!! " :x

Reminds me of those really fucking annoying TV ads that flash bright colours and SHOUT at you at insane amount of dbs.

It's what the mute button was made for. It turns people off.

It's not the size that matters, it's what you do with it that counts

Please make it bigger than 25 x 25 so I can see it more clearly when I'm trying to read posts- <just kidding>

Yup, super irritating.

I instinctively ignore posts by anyone sporting one of those ugly spam banners in their sig.

Why can't we disable signatures in the forum settings?

I visit other forums where this is an option. Or even block/hide/ban users?

Adblock is a good idea.
