Should I hold off on installing Live 9?

Post by Citizen » Thu Mar 14, 2013 9:22 pm

Seems like a lot of bugs and angry people on the forum here. I've DL'd live 9 - should I hold off on installing it until an update comes that fixes those bugs?

Don't mind waiting if it means avoiding a few headaches. But pretty keen to check out the MIDI conversion tools and the Max for Live devices :D

Thoughts?

Make a fresh set of bootable backups and try it out for yourself. You might like the new cool-aid : )

I've not had much chance to use 9 yet, but it has run as sweet as a nut while I have been using it.

All good points - I didn't really think of running them side by side! At least then I can go back to 8 if 9 starts annoying me.

No problem with disk space over here - I'm going to install all of the live packs - I want to hear what's in em! Actually looks like there is some pretty good content!

Approx. how long does it take to install Suite 9 + all the live packs? Oh, and obviously I should install Live 9 before Max For Live and the live Packs?

Rad, thanks guys.

Just want to minimise downtime as much as possible. I already spend enough time sorting out software issues.
