Live 9 - Max for Live tutorials

I remember seeing them in Live 8, where are they located now in Live 9?

perhaps OP is referring to the in-app tutorial sets that were in live 8? those just became available again with the recent release of the M4L Building Tools pack (which is basically a port of the similar building tools from live 8, plus all the M4L tutorial live sets).

so first, make sure you've installed this pack (https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/max-li ... ing-tools/)

then go into ableton's Help View (Help menu > Help View), click the "all built-in lessons" link and then click "M4L Building Tools". this will take you to a list of other links associated with live sets containing code-example/tutorial patches related to a number of topics. just click any of the links, then follow the instructions to load the associated live set.

then you can root around in the example patches, learn the techniques, and copy the code.

handy stuff! definitely look at the live API one if you plan to be using it.
