live 9 trial hangs...not opening

Yo everybody, I think it may have something to do with config files. Because it almost all of our cases, we started it up once, and then it stopped working after that. So Live is creating dodgy .cfg's during the first start-up, making it not start properly afterwards...
I know that previous versions of Live have had similar issues related to preferences.cfg...

I haven't been able to boot it up once, I just downloaded it today and I'm having the same problems as everyone else. I'm on a windows 7 64 bit 8 gig RAM thinkpad and downloaded the 32 bit trial version, installed it, waited for it to launch and nothing happens but I see the Live 9 Trial in my task manager process window. I did the basic uninstall, reinstall troubleshooting but nothing happened.

So it booted for you? PC or mac? 32 or 64 bit?

Remember to switch off auto update in preferences.

was working till last night, upon trying to load it for my live online set tonight... it does not load, but the process sits there running in windows (listed in task manager)

windows 7, amd a8 apu, 8gb ram


was thinking it is much more stable on my pc since v8 wasnt... but now.???


finally got my setup stable again, and back into producing again. and this happens... *sigh*

Everyone who's affected by the problem of the 9.0.2 Trial version freezing on launch, please re-download and re-install 9.0.1. The links are available here:

We have disabled auto-updates for Trial versions for now, so you can keep on using 9.0.1 until the problem is fixed.

Thanks Nico! I was starting to feel bad about installing a new audio interface. Here's to 26 more days on trial till I scrape up the cash. Loving Live!
