Hi There,

Is it possible to send midi from a audiotrack, drumrack / drumkit?

I want to do this:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=191713

And it seems that the only way to do it is to create a custom drumkit and thus label the note ruler. The problem I have is that I cant sent midi info from the audio channel to an external midi device.

Does anybody have a solution?

Cheers,

Manuel

The External Instrument device is used to send MIDI to external devices. Try dropping one onto a drum rack pad.

Thanks,

This works! Partially ;)

I dragged an "external device" on a "drum rack pad". By renaming the external device was able to label the Pianorole ruler. BUT, I noticed that something funky is going on with the notes. Whatever note I give as input the kit always outputs midi "C3". I can correct this by transposing the output but this seems to be a workaround which should not be necessary ?

What am i doing wrong?

Thanks for you help!

You're not doing anything wrong. Drum racks just were not designed to do what you want them to do.

the default output is C3, but its easily changed in the drumrack if you open up the chain.
