I try the method in a FAQ but nothing appear.
Any user of push use other drum sound than the default library?
i see a video and on the push of video a folder call "user library" appear under the core library.
i don't see this folder.

i've contacted support regarding the same issue. i can save rack'ed instruments and they will show up in the "instrument rack" directory, but that's the only way i've gotten anything not from the ableton library to show up.

Hi everybody
i save a empty drumrack in my user library.
i put some samples in my library in the sample folder (folder call kick) and the sound appear in browser ....
is not really easy to find the sound if you have 1500 kick or more & i don't want to re-manage my sounds bank...(external harddrive)
i wish just browse my samples in the folder in the "places" (like maschine) call by the name i want..

yeah, this seems so rudimentary that i assumed this was a part of push's functionality.

edit no.2: i've done a ton of experimentation, and think that the push FAQ is incorrect. the push browser seems to be completely oblivious to all sample files (shows .adg, .adv, etc. only).

The browser seems very weak to me I must admit, even weaker than the weak browser in Live 9!

bump. i can't believe we're the only people who want to browse our own samples or load clips into session view.

Actually that's all I want to do on Push!

make the library mine.

It's sad but I haven't started to explore how to customize the L9 library for Push. so that I only display the relevant info to me. (No Factory Presets only customized sounds)

You cant even browse your own samples..??? WTF?

Im not at all interested in factory content. I only use my own samples and presets. I was already quite bummed out because of the new browser in Live and the focus on factory content.

Waiting for my Push to arrive soon. Hope they fix this.

It works for drum samples if you
1) store your sample folders in the Live user library (Samples folder)
2) put your samples in subfolders named the same way as in the core library (Kick, Snare, Misc Percussion, etc.)

You will then be able to find your samples when browsing with push in Drum Hits under the specific tag (Kick, Snare, Misc Percussion, etc.).

Example: User Library/Samples/Drums/Goldbaby 808/Kick/BD.aif can be found in Push under Kick and in the Live 9 Browser under Drum Hits/Kick

Not really intuitive, I'd also like to be able to keep my own folder structure for my samples.

it's also worth noting that the push FAQ is somewhat incorrect. instead of hitting a drum rack pad and browsing, you have to hit the skinny button under the pad name in the display first (so that it has the arrow next to it). then sample browsing should work.

also, for anyone who hasn't seen the thread yet, djlimbs discovered where you can modify a .cfg file to make your own folders/categories. viewtopic.php?f=55&t=192022
