Can Push remember what key you were in??

Post by amorfati » Thu Apr 04, 2013 11:12 pm

I was so disappointed to realize that Push didn't save the key of my set after saving and re-opening. I had assumed that Live would remember this. This would make it impossible to play at a gig.

Am I doing something wrong or does the Live session not save any of Push's settings?

live does not store the scale data with the live set or channel or device. however, you can use ClyphX to instruct push to switch to a certain scale and certain root note with just the launch of a clip. because the clip name used for the ClyphX instruction will have the scale name and root note in it, this is also a handy way to store the key of your song for a live set.
