Recording (internal) sounds into Ableton

Post by Tim V » Fri Apr 19, 2013 9:31 am

Does anybody know if there’s any software available or a way I can record into Ableton from the same PC playing a You Tube clip, or a CD or something. Mainly for sampling useful things I’ve seen on TV program, etc. Used to have an internal soundcard that could do this but now have an external one….

Thanks

Seems to be only for Mac OS though - anything for Windows?

Check your interface´s driver settings, some of them offer this kind of internal routing. Mine doesn´t (motu), so i just record the analog output back into the system.
