recording state control on/off?

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong here but I wanted to record the state of the track activator/deactivator so armed the track to record and did my thing but nothing recorded. When I edited the clip in live (mix speaker on/off) and played back then the activator/deactivator button went on/off as needed. I haven't yet tried recording mutes but seems odd?

so now way of recording mutes or solos in automation?

I tried this, and muting tracks using push in record mode with automation record on worked perfectly for me.

Solo didn't work for me either
I there's one specific track you want to automate solo on you could route the audio from the other tracks through an audio track and mute that.
That would require some use of the mouse though =/

I'll try again I must have messed up somehow. I don't mind going back and forth between laptop and push though it's actually how I figured I would work.
