Tempo Changes in Arrangement Views and Clips

Post by Dalmu » Tue Apr 23, 2013 2:28 am

Hey guys,

I'm trying to remix a song with various tempo changes and wanted your suggestions on how to handle this in live. I've figured out the tempo, and now I'm the process of translating that into various chopped up clips.

Now, here's where I need your help. How can I grab a couple of snippets (that will at some point be triggerable clips in the clip view) in arrangement view, and change their tempo all at once?

The other area I need help with is the vocals. The vocals seem to go from singing on a 151BPM beat to 148 BPM beat without taking a breather. This is an even bigger problem because that transition happens on the chrorus. Any suggestions on how to handle this from a remixing standpoint?

I appreciate your feedback.

I haven't had to do this yet but I bet one of these videos I've run across could help.

1. You could warp it all to the same BPM (this is what I would do)

or

2. If you name a scene in session (clip) view a number followed by "BPM"... ie 148BPM, when you trigger that scene the tempo will automatically change to whatever tempo you have typed.
