Record Quantize Sixteenths AND Eighth Triplets?
Record Quantize Sixteenths AND Eighth Triplets?
Searched the whole internet(!!!) for this. No luck.
Is there a setting for doing this somewhere? I see you can quantize eighth and eighth triplets OR sixteenth and sixteenth triplets, but what about a combo of sixteenths and eighth note triplets?
Whenever I try to quantize a clip that has both sixteenths and eighth note triplet in it, one of the other gets mangled. Obviously one could go back and manually select the triplet notes and quantize, but . . . any way to do this on the fly?
Thanks!

Doubt it. They're a little too close for an algorithm to do this properly. You might have to do a little editing. Pretty easy. I wouldn't wait up for this functionality. I would just leave empty space where the triplets go and draw them in after recording.

And yeah, that's what I figured SThug, thanks.

I've never hard of any sequencer that could do multiple quantizing on recording or playback. If you will be playing both 16ths and 8th triplets on the same track you can't record quantize.
For a studio recording, you can go back and quantize sections of the track to different alues. Tedious perhaps, but doable.
For live performance, forget it.

Interestingly, multiple quantization is common standard in notation software.
For example in Logic you can specify 'quantize (16,12)' to get a perfect score with sixteenths and eight triplets even at sloppy note input.

Thanks all. I know you can do 16ths + 16ths triplets, so thought maybe there was a hidden trick somewhere to do 1/8T and 16ths, but . . . no biggie.
