APC40 Modifications - M4L vs. Midi Remote Scripting

Post by Pitchthrill » Sun May 26, 2013 2:00 pm

Hi guys,

2 years ago i wrote a midi remote script for my APC40 in order to achieve some customizations.

The Main features were:
- for the device control section the function shift button was flipped, so i could switch banks without having to press shift
- pressing master select button + some clip button would select that clip
- the currently selected clip was highligthed in red-flashing in the clip matrix

unfortunatly my script stopped working in Live 9 (i was always afraid hat this would happen someday). Now i think it's probably better to switch to M4L now, since it will be probably more compatible for the future.

Do you think that my 3 major changes would be possible to implement with M4L? Or is it wasted time and i am better of with repairing my older script? I am already sure that this will take me several days! Especially the first to features are extremly important for my liveset...

thx in advance for reading :)

I've done the second one in the Isotonik LE device, I think the other two would be easy to do in m4l...

GO for the Lite version instead, it doesn't have the depth of the full version of course but it adds some pretty cool features to the APC40...
