Re: Behringer Tweakalizer
Yes, the x:one looks pretty powerful and I can see that it would go nicely with a Launchpad. But that would be way outside my budget and my needs! My local music store is offering me a special on the LPD (about 50 Euro) and that will more than sort me out.
Re: Behringer Tweakalizer
i buy the most of my gear online. my favorite is thomann.de. if u r from europe it should be possible to buy there (cause i never got any problems, have had the best prices, 3 years warrantee, 30 days money back guarantee) and they have veryvery often B-stock to sell. All of my midi controllers are b-stock.
here the lpd 8 for example:

Re: Behringer Tweakalizer
I am in Cape Town. Web-ordering music gear is not a good idea, not least because the shipping charges tend to be prohibitively expensive & ZA customs add on another enormous whack just for good measure.
I plan to make sure I go to a sociology conference in Berlin some time next year. And come back with a Push in my suitcase

OK. Acquired. This is looks like about 200% on the mark. I can see this going very nicely with Tarekith's collection of DJ effects.Timbeaux wrote:maybe get a LPD 8 first (around 35 euro)
u have 8 pads and 8 knobs.
I use knob 1, 3 and 5 for EQing and knob 7 for an autofilter @ Deck/Track/Channel 1.
Pads are really usable for EQ-Killswitches or activating effect routings.
I have this controller for 3 or 4 years now, and its rock solid. works like the first day, and it feels more quality build then the nocturn (i tried it in a music shop). Only negative things are the length of the knobs, they are a lil bit short.
I assume you just use MIDI mapping?

You see, when I asked what you wanted to do, you could have said "use Tarekith's effects". I was even anticipating that answer.

Re: Behringer Tweakalizer
i started DJing with ableton and used the A&H Xone 2D. along side the LPD 8. it was a great little setup!
works well and its small.
i have since then switched to Traktor and the Kontrol S4

Yes. I can see Serato in my future. Any software that's good enough for Mad Mike Hogan is good enough for me.
I also got one of those rinky-dink LPK25s. The teeny little keyboard. I can like to be wowing the crowd with a solo on one of those
