The Hartmann Neuron vst is now a free download (OSX only)
http://www.neuronsynth.com/html/NeuronVS.html
I haven't listened or even installed it yet but I remember this synth gracing the cover of Future Music and possibly SOS back in around 2005. It uses an experimental type of synthesis and I'm looking forward to twisting it so heres more info

Balls! you can't change the sound of presets without the Nuke controller.

If you check out the Facebook page someone is developing the controller for Lemur and TouchOsc.
Re: The Hartmann Neuron vst is now a free download (OSX only)
Yeah I think it is important, also you need to download a large (3 gigs or so) library to get it up and running. I haven't tried it as I was up to other things but if the presets are good and respond to velocity and aftertouch etc... then it could be worth it.H20nly wrote:sound... that's kind of important, right?
Perhaps somebody has figured out a way to control it with a standard midi controller but as far as i know the bespoke controller interfaces with it using custom methods (i.e. not midi)

i don't have a Lemur or TouchOsc so my enthusiasm level leveled out when the Nuke controller nuked it.ikeaboy wrote:Ah only read that after I posted. Well, there are a ton of other free vst's out there, but I guess if you are some kind of geek with a LOT of CASH on hand, you could satisfy a money vampire on ebay, there are currently two for sale:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R ... r&_sacat=0
For that kind of money I'd just buy a real synth!
