well, in my current situation the thought of anyone keeping tabs on me should be enough to make anyone angry just because it would be such a phenomenal waste of money

but the scary thing is more that they probably have built up enough computer power by now to keep something on everyone on the planet and save it for a rainy day, recorded anyway, keyword scanned, waiting for you to slip up in some way...

what is truly scary about it is just how much it is vulnerable to corruption. I don't think any of us trust government OR corporations because they are blatantly corrupt. Banks too big to fail.. etc

So what if in 20 years time you decide to run for office? will every private conversation you've ever had be mined for potential blackmail?

Will future employers be able to pay a private company to go through your records and set the keyword scanner over it?

I think while it might seem now like we've got nothing to worry about because it's all pictures of cats, this is an almighty can of worms that can never be put back...
