Re: iPad
thats exactly what I was thinking, I love my airbook but I hate the fact that after about 2 hours it goes belly up, i didn't see the keynote but do you know if the batt will last all day at regular/full usage or did they say only by using power saving methods or whatever...beats me wrote:I have absolutely no need for it, but I’d really like to get one of those new 11” MBAs. I think it would be perfect for my level of computer based music on the go. But I never do music on the go. The closest I come is occasionally DJing with Traktor on my 13” MBA. I don’t think the smaller screen size would have a big negative impact on that.
if it would let me actually run music apps all day I'd seriously consider it

Well, Apple are touting 10 hours of video on the new 13", and general usage tests have shown that you get around 11:30 hours of battery life.
PCMag even says 15:30 hours of battery life, but I don't know if they're bullshitting big time.

Hey SS where the hell have you been? You know you've had a fake starving student while you were away? Like the My Hyde to your Dr. Jekyl.

What's good MW, I just heard about this imposter yesterday, apparently he made quite the impression.Machinesworking wrote:Hey SS where the hell have you been? You know you've had a fake starving student while you were away? Like the My Hyde to your Dr. Jekyl.

I thought it was decent but not anything holy shit about it. Still vastly better than Microsoft’s “here’s some fucking tiles” breakthrough.
Some other thoughts.
Craig Federighi was the bell of the ball. Eddy Cue kind of comes off like a sleaze ball, but I guess that shouldn’t be all that surprising as he’s the man behind all the music, film, and book licensing.
Re: iPad
I’m going to be very disappointed if Ive doesn’t change the beach ball, it’s very annoying in both its appearance and purpose.

Re: iPad
The beach ball will be annoying whatever icon is used for "wait while we catch up with you" or "we have crashed and prefer to hang around frustrating you!"
All keynotes for the next ten years will be compared to Jobs and deemed boring or lackluster, no matter how good.

at least it's not a monkey fucking a frog.
on another note... this, i'm sure, is not exclusive to the iPhone, but i got a new CD player for my car on Saturday that uses bluetooth. i love it... i have a track/album playing on my phone... i arrive at my destination, turn off the car, and get out... i start the car when i leave... and the song continues from the exact spot.
due to this, i've decided to give technology, beyond the pencil, a second chance and have lowered my utter malice to a suspicious loathing.

Seriously, I could not believe that Microsoft thought that was a go?
