9.04 will not shut down correclty

each time I go to shut down Live 9.04, it will not close and hangs..... I have to shut down computer , then it logs it as a crash... anyone else?

Prob not much help, but I'm regularly getting crashes when closing Live 9.

I've just sent crash logs each time.

I have to say Ableton Live is out there on it's own for unreliability.

This shit is driving me crazy! 9.02 ran batter than 9.04!~
I am on w-7 64 bit.. and have plenty of ram...

Do you have any USB devices attached, such as MIDI controllers or audio cards?

Try disconnecting them when the issue occurs, drivers for these devices can stop Live from shutting down.

will try this suggestion, however, 9.02 this did not occur,, is live digressing?

Ableton writes to a log file before it shuts down all the way, if you keep on pre-maturely shutting it down, the longer your real shut down is going to take. I have taken this issue to Ableton Dev about the index/files.db file throttling the load and exit times of Ableton. If your files.db file is less than 50mb, you should open and close really fast. If its greater than 500mb it will take up to a minute to open and shut down, if its greater it takes a really long time (5-10minutes) to open and close - for all intents and purposes, this keeps Ableton 9 more Stable while it is actually open and running, at the cost of longer start and close times.
