Hi guys, long time.
I'm working on this live act in wich we have audio stems in Live's session view (master) and the artist's videoclips running on another "visuals" system (slave) wich should receive as accurate clock from Ableton as possible. The reason is that the performer is singing on top of pre-recorded stems and videoclips, so we should have a perfect lip sync, and each scene would trigger the proper video.
I've tried to do some search, but could not find a suitable and clear answer.
Can you guys shed a light on this? I.e. what type of sync to use (MTC, Midi Clock, Audio Timecode, OSC, etc) and the right solid setup, avoiding latency and instability...
all the best,
Rodrigo

What is your "visual system"? The easiest way is to look at what sync options are available in Live, then which ones are available in your "visual system" and sync the two together. MIDI is probably the easiest to use with LIVE if available on your "visual system".

Network sync is the best. Send up network midi I/o in audio midi utility on your Mac. Then, in Live's midi preferences send and receive sync as necessary

In general MTC is used for video sync but unfortunately Live doesn't support MTC output.

Here is what I do, can't say it's the most accurate but it works pretty well.
MIDI clock out of Live into Resolume, either running on the same computer and sent over IAC or running on two computers sent over network.
Then to sync the clips and forward parameters to Resolume I've been using these M4L devices
