selected track is always record enabled

selected track is always record enabled

When push is connected, a selected midi track is always record enabled. When I click on the record enable button, it changes from red to light red, that's all. I don't like this, because this prevents me from recording automation without recording a clip!

Not so. Did you engage the automation button and record?

yes, then automation and a new clip is recorded into the track, overwriting the existing clip. (I'm recording in arrangement view.)
