Does a maxforlive subharmonic generator/synthesiser device exist?
I had a look on maxforlive.com but didn't find anything.
reFuse Lowender used to require Pluggo to run so I'm assuming that it would be possible to code something similar in maxforlive?
Does anyone else use/need/want/have code for this kind of device?
Does a subharmonic generator device exist? Lowender code?
Re: Does a subharmonic generator device exist? Lowender code?
wtf is a subharmonic generator, do you mean that wavesbass crap?
Ableton 8, NI Massive, Max 4 Live, other stuff

Really useful post thanks.mescalin wrote:wtf is a subharmonic generator, do you mean that wavesbass crap?

I guess you can average frequency content in the lower spectrum...and trigger a sine an octave down...
seems like a heck of a patch !
I don't know of any.. but maybe there's already some 'external' that does this? if so.. make sure it supports 64-bit Max..
(personally I use Waves LoAir/MaxxBass)

There's a rack someone made that I use sometimes for that purpose.
You can probably find it if you search subharmonic in the forum.

I have tried 'that' rack and didnt like the output. I also tried the mda sub bass synthesiser again not impressed. I have also tried waves loair i liked it and it does what I want but I don't want to spend the money. I have also tried refuse lowender I liked this as well although it was a bit more brash than waves loair but again I don't want to spend the money. Refuse lowender used to run within the max pluggo framework so I assume that it is possible to code something like this in m4l. I will probably have a crack at it in a months time when I have some time off.
