My Push has died

Went to use my Push yesterday switched on live and plugged the USB and power adaptor in and nothing switched. Swapped usb cables and still nothing , contacted Ableton support last night I await the response. Has anyone heard of this happening .

When you say died, do you mean you get nothing, no lights, no welcome screen on Push etc? Or do you mean there is no 'handshake' between Live & Push. i.e. you get the 'Ableton Push - Please start Live to play...' message, even after starting Live.

I got this latter issue once and Ableton support suggested a clean re-install of Live. Didn't take too long and fixed the problem.

With people cramming up usb ports with expended Hubs, also check if your usb port is not dead.

no lights nothing is coming on , the usb hub is working fine and I tried plugging he usb straight from the computer to push as well.

Is it related to this? Which WAS a dodgy usb hub (not saying this is your problem though) Just wondering if you pressed dump at any point.

Did you try to put it in demo mode: plug ac adaptor only, no usb cable, switch it on and see what happens?

Might be don't no if I pressed dump will check when I get home , looks like a call to the helpline tomorow.

So you're saying when you hold down the User button, there are no settings options?

when I plug the usb in and put power supply nothing comes on ,screen doesn't light up and nothing else comes on.

The main indicator I'd use to determine of it is dead, is holding down the User button. Because even when not in Live, User gives you pad settings.

But even when not in Live mode, I'm pretty sure at least the User button is lit. And from the sound of your description you have zero lighting whatsoever.

I hope something gets figured out for you.

managed to get it working not sure what I had done but all working now.

I'm sure it won't happen again.. until you have a deadline or start setting up for a live set..
