Post by VenTon » Tue Aug 27, 2013 10:30 am

is this possible in Live?

i have an instrument which is audio input depended and as far as i can see there's no way to send audio into an instrument on a MIDI track...or is there? :|

If an audio track lists within its output your MIDI track, and sub output as the synth, then yes that instrument can take an audio source, typically as an envelope generator or follower, but sometimes you can use the input as an actual sound generator and put it through the synth's filters and such.

Then just look to see where the input within the synth can be used as a source.

I'd love to know what that instrument is you have. The only one's I know are Twin 2 and Automat.

Yeah, typically dual-input plugins act as audio effects, that can accept MIDI input (with a blank midi track that outputs to said plugin).
