I want to be able to translate sheet music fluently via midi controller. But I wish there was a computer tutor for it or iPhone tutor??

I mean, I know that there is always real sheet music, but programs have all kinds of little benefits over sheet music.

Look into:

Crescendo
Finale Notepad
MuseScore (free)

All do music scoring and have various bells and whistles for doing your composing. Notepad is limited unless you pay for the full blown version. I haven't toyed with Crescendo yet and I have MuseScore installed, just haven't gone back to messing with them yet.

They may have scoring, but do they rate accuracy of performance, and give lessons?

For the ones I posted? No, not to my knowledge and why would you expect to see accuracy of performance?! That's where editing comes into play in the clips in Live (which is a pita but we all have to deal with it/do it). I need to use quantize more to get back into that usage too....

Yeah. That is fine for making/writing music.

Most of this thread pertains to music education :P

But thanks still for responding, being helpful and offering some options : )

Edit: after re-reading my first comment, I realize I was a bit vague on what I was talking about. Sorry.
