Dual monitor works fine on a Mac.

remember that Live is cross platform product. My guess is that they will not support it before Windows supports retina.

Fortunately they have said that Windows 8.1 that just came out does have retina support, so now they can start coding. My guess is that it will take at least one year, so 2014 autumn maybe it will arrive.

Actually, even to be able to have more than 1 file open at once on a Mac would be good. This is 1993 after all.

Dom, look at the thread about the upcoming 9.1 update, it will include dual monitor support now.

Well that's great for people with dual monitors. Alas, I only have a single screen. But good to know nontheless.

To be honest, multiple files open would make the biggest difference for me (and other's I'm sure).

You can open two windows on one screen too, but not two different projects. If you browse to the project in the browser, you can grab everything from individual samples, to whole tracks though.

9.1 and still no Retina. WTF are you playing at Ableton. Stop having Kompakt parties and get the simplest of things sorted out first... THEN KOMPAKT   !!!!!

Latest news shows a producer on stage with a RETINA laptop running Live. Time to come up to speed developers and give us what we are requesting. I've personally spent upwards of $1500.00 on your products since version 2.

Also, as far as "cross platform" being an issue, In my business I use the Adobe Suite of visual design/video production products - ALL of them have been updated for Retina support as of at least six to eight months ago. I run Adobe on both Mac and PC.

LOTS of us have Retina Laptops now. LOTS OF US.

Some of us would like to be able to see nice sharp text and labels and not have to strain all the time because of fuzzy, pixilated visuals.

When I open any of the Adobe products, I get NICE SHARP labels, controls and so forth.

So give it some priority. It's worth the effort.

Also realize that the people who spend the larger sums on high-end Mac laptops are your more qualified customers. We spend more money than other people on quality tools. We are your loyal customers as well.

'nuff said.
