Playing videos from an iPhone 4s to a projector - best way?

Ok, I want to connect my iPhone 4S to a projector via a HDMI cable to play backing videos in a gig/onstage scenario. I will be playing a sequence of videos from the iPhone, so need to be able to skip through them when they're done, but WITHOUT any icons showing on the projector screen (if that makes sense! it's in a music/gig/onstage scenario). What's the best app for me to do this? If I did it in iTunes (under Movies) would the play/pause/forward icons be visible on the projector screen when I skip through to the next video?

I used to do all of this with a secondary macbook running Ableton at gigs, but am trying to thin out my gigging equipment ... help!

You don't think I've tried Google? Been all over this for the last 7 days, and not found a suitable scenario. I'm specifically looking for the BEST option here, from people out there who may have tried this already in the same/similar scenario. W*nker....

I haven't tried it myself, but the vjay app and an Apple 30-pin Digital AV adapter come to mind.

Yeah, that's probably up there as my main contender, just didn't want to buy an app I won't use... sure it's only a few bucks, but I've spent many a fair few $$ on apps I never use!
