How to stop Vinyl Effect after hitting STOP

Post by miekwave » Fri Oct 04, 2013 1:23 am

How do I automate the Vilyl effect to mute when hitting stop (Space-bar or controller)? Maybe a 50ms drop off envelope

I tried, but I use space bar and my transport, it totally messes up my vinyl playback settings (causing it to turn on/off at the wrong time).

@miekwave

Put a gate after the vinyl effect, put it in sidechain mode and select master in the "audio from" box. I just tried it and it worked for me.

I hope that's what you were looking for.

Wow that's clever !
(But why master ? there's some weird loop involved. why not any other track ?)

@chapelier fou

I figure setting it to the master track would keep the gate open during the whole time the song is playing, vs. an individual track could cut out during certain parts of the song. I guess it's just up to what you need it for.

Glad i could help
