Alesis Q88 in Live Lite 9 (controller not showing up)

Post by ScooterMagooter » Thu Oct 10, 2013 12:04 am

Hello all,

I am new to DAWs and I just purchased the Alesis Q88. I have properly installed Ableton Live Lite 9 that came with it. I am looking at the MIDI sync tab to add my controller as an input, but it is not on the list. I have a feeling this problem has been had before and I did use the search function here and found no help. Please, can someone point me in the right direction.
Thanks!!! :D

I've also been looking for an answer to this. I got it working on my parents computer, but my laptop will not allow me to select the keyboard in the Input type. It is very annoying, It worked without any issues on the other computer.

I have an Alesis MIDI controller as well (mine is a QX49), and at first mine refused to make sound like you are experiencing. After lots of unsuccessful browsing, I simply restarted Ableton and the controller worked perfectly. However, it's quite possible that you've already done so. (I'm new to this whole thing myself, so I'm not the best person to answer your question.)
