Live 9 still the same and new behaviour with video

Post by redglass » Thu Oct 10, 2013 10:29 pm

When working with video, moving clips (midi or audio) freezes the PC for a few seconds. Without video, moving clips works fast.

When starting some clips of Toontrack Eazydrummer Midi-files in arrangemnet view with Video, a not programmed roll of kick or hihat sounds starts. Thats not working!

Live 9.06 32 Bit on a Win7 64 Bit System!

Bastian

ps: with reaper this works perfect!

I don't use video in Ableton but have you ensured your video drivers are up to date completely just to rule that out? Other than that I haven't any ideas.

No problem here.
It can get sluggish if the video file is very very large and you don't have enough RAM.
Otherwise it should work perfectly well.

I know what you mean, but Valiumdupeuple asked for RAM size in my PC.

In both scenarios (with and without video) what are you seeing in your Windows Task Manger? CPU Usage, Memory, etc...

What's the size of your video file?
Try converting it to jpeg video.
If you open the project in L8 (drag the project's tracks from the browser) do you have the same problem?
