(1) 8-9 users out of 10 here are americans, and i am antiamerican. 9 out of 10 ignore the meaning of the term and percieve it as "he hates american people, the good guys". This is because of brainwashing massive war propaganda in the U.S. ("the state is the people", "the soldiers are our boys" and such pseudonazi crap). It is tough to accept, so "in my opinion", "80-90%" etc. sound like unveiling the dirt under the carpet.
(2) 10% language barrier
(3) 10% different humour

actually i started the thread because of the following reasons:

* funken used to be really outspoken about the US, since the advent of myrnova he's all but stopped
* they never seem to post much in the same thread, but both of them seem to have unlimited time for the banter they invoke (once they do it's almost endless)
* funken seems (until this thread) to be myrnova's only supporter
* myrnova keeps posting the same funken quote over and over and then posting the laughing emoticon because he thinks it gets funnier


but if you want to call me a nationalist, anti-nationalist, butthurt, all of the above or anything else go right ahead... i may have derailed some threads... but not by blaming any single country or nationality at every turn and new Lounge thread like clockwork. switch it up ffs. i react to it, sure... but this is because the sheer audacity of the implications is fuckin ridiculous. it's one thing to talk shit, but at least be factual instead of just making shit up with boggus statistics and false claims that are little more than conjecture and in reality represent nothing more than a narrow minded opinion. couple that with the fact that those obsessive implications typically have absolutely nothing to do with the topic...
