cool story bro.

myrnova wrote:techno, trance, dubstep, hardcore etc. are by definition anarchist arts, there is no need of lyrics. All these artists are antinazi, antifascists, and "anarchist". It's like punk. I doubt fascists and KKK want to dance techno and goatrance

Fuck myrnova if words are so hard for you I would stick to plots and graphs.

Exactly. The whole thread now is about people who can't grasp a simple statement made by Myra ages ago. The point both of us are making is that racism is alive and well in America, not least on Fox News. Yes you are right, the original topic got buried by this massive derail and we should stop adding to it actually.
Don't forget this is a company run site. And they are remarkable lenient about letting us discuss these things. Probably because they also think that politics has an important part to play in music. They can of course pull the plug at any time.

It's also a german site, subject to german laws, where they take this kind of thing very seriously.

Myrnova might have been making a political point, but you can't expect mods of a reputable company to have a sense of humour about that kind of thing. Hence, using that kind of language is likely to get you banned.
IMO this sort of thing is extremely over reported about Germany. He would basically have to deny the Holocoust happened, finish in a raised hand and a yelled Sieg Heil and sign with a swastika: All with the aim of finding a new Nazi party, before anything legally actionable would be produced.

Myra, you don't help the cause by coming out with statements like this. This is what's known in revolutionary circles as 'bullshit'.
Funny, now he gets criticized for the only statement that is not only true, but sadly so...

Or why can the NSA build the global surveilance state, by ignoring any democratic rights the citizens of their own country might have. And the only thing the "President" can/will/is allowed to say is: Deal with it!

I think the whole socialist capitalist crap discussion here is totally irrelevant, the world is further and faster progressing towards global Fascism, and no one will stop it.
(Hell you guys claim to be politically concious, yet there was only one thread regarding the Snowden revelations and that was a joke thread. If there was ever a time to yell: Wake up sheeple, this would be it! Yet?! Nothing!)

And to the OP:

Galt said it on the first page: Musicians are not socially relevant, never were. People might have sung Imagine in the 70s - I just think it never had any measurable influence one way or the other...

And to add: This is not about America even, the whole western world is knee deep into developing the means to have total "information awareness" about their people (witness how Angie "Mutti" Merkel only starts to complain when it is here mobile phone being tapped!). Democracies don't do stuff like this, Fascist Dictatorships on the other hand....
So hold tight guys.....
(And any anti government musician who does not use lyrics today, will be very glad he didn't in the future!)

In the 90s the Techno parties in Berlin were frequented by the Neo Nazis quite regularly (I even had to defendend my self against my (like me) left wing buddies, because I listened to this "Nazi crap"). E rescued it though in a big way! There were Nazis that discovered they were "Extacy gay" ;-)
(Coming to there senses in a strange bed voluntarily giving a BJ lol)

Stasi is of all times. The phone tap business will be a technological rat race. I mean, how you want to spy on 100 million people and still make sense with your data? Thats a technological question, filtering etc.

It's really not that difficult when you have their resources. Just think of an automated approach using data tags by which the data gets filtered and then a twitter/google/facebook approach to actually making the dossiers. (up dated constantly while you surf) (Not minding the fact that those services are allready an open book to them)
Here some info as to the how: http://arstechnica.com/information-tech ... ning-tool/

Believe me, this will be actually as bad as the Stasi, just that it will be global and a peaceful revolution to stop it is out of the quesition.

Edit: No it will be worse if you think about it: the Stasi had to pour significant resources into each person it made a Dossier on, now it's not only automated but cross referenced and geo tagged!!!
