Double check youve put them in the correct folder location?

Im on Windows and theres more than one location that "look" like they could be correct ie "Users" folder.
The correct path will be the folder Script folder where the program is installed.
Sorry, i dont know the mac file sytsem.

after a short correspondence with Roman... its working again in 9.05 ... for me

i just had to make sure both folders were copied across

both the sl_ultimate_control AND the sl_ultimate_extra_device needed to be present

Just wanted to offer my very sincere thanks for this. My SL MKii 49 has been doing nothing but collect dust the past year since the stock script is next to useless for me. This FINALLY made me feel like I didn't waste my money on the damn thing. Thank you!!!

Next steps for my point of view would be to have an ableton browser management mode : i.e. browse directly from the device with a visual feedback on the builtin-in LCD screen (As Ableton Push does), for device/effects insertion/deletion/swap, and for track creation/clip insertion…

I progress in Ableton browser mgmt & display on LCD using remote SL ableton decompiled script. I want to integrate this feature in SL ultimate control / extra device mode + pads ?

I can confirm -if I don't miss something- that the script works no more with 9.1 (no beta).
After installation of 9.1, I copied again the 2 folders and configured again preferences, with no luck: my sl mk 2 stays
in stanbdy, showing a message "Ableton. WAIT....", but nothing happens.
Now I'm going with default script and my new push , hoping in a update of your script for 9.1 release.

Hi All,
Please find a preview/beta 1.0.6 version of a customized version of Roman' SL Ultimate Control script.
This version add a new major feature : Browsing the Ableton Live library directly from the SL MK2.
Implemented as an additional Extra Device Mode, it is based on Pots and it requires additionally PADs to be enabled and used. PADs shall be midi-assigned to CC messages in Ableton template on MK2 device and the CC number used defined in consts.py.

Pots are used (from left to right starting from 1st) for navigation among tags (1st), devices (2nd), folders/presets (3rd), presets (4th).

Additional pots are used :
(5th) for "alphabetic 1st letter quick access",
(7th) zoom mode allowing to select number of columns used to display/browse items,
(8th) for "fine tune"/"slow mode" browsing
the 6th pot is not used at the moment but I'm working to use it to browse recent loaded items.

1st pad allow to load or swap item (device or preset)
2nd pad is used to enter hotswap mode. browser is limited to relevant devices/presets according to the current selected device.

Left Shift + 1st Pad to enter Browser Mode

Other minor features:
- Some others pads are also used for shortcuts for instant midi/audio track creation.
- I have also customized original script behavior of track select buttons in order to allow overdub session recording when double pressed and when track is already armed and a clipslot is playing in this track.

Add. info :
- tested only on Remote 25 SL MK2 but should work on other devices if the original Roman's version does
- tested only on Ableton Live 9.0.5 version but should work on later version (9.1) since it based on original Roman's 1.0.6 version
