Warning against using Jbridge!
I recently purchased jbridge after using the demo in an attempt to bridge my 32bit plugins for use in 64bit ableton 9. After having done so I would advise against it for 2 reasons.
1. Jbridge only caused ableton to continually crash.
2. The developer also practices awful customer service. There are apparently 2 different sites for the mac and windows versions of the software, both of which look almost identical. Having been the Mac page previously, when I landed again on the windows version of the site, I did not realized that I was on a different page. I purchased the windows version by mistake the developer is refusing to give me the proper mac version. Jbridge is developed by some shady scammer from portugal, which I have just learned.
Point is, its not stable, and its not worth supporting someone who is attempting to scam people out of money.

Jbridge working well here at PC win7 64.
but i think it will be anyway historie soon,
because most VSTi available in 64 bit now already.
Just some freebee dinosaurs need it.
I understand that software downloads will not be refunded.
Maybe you allowed sell it to somebody at Windows ?

Jbridge works fine. It's really cheap, and because of that the developer doesn't do refunds if you buy the wrong version. People are over privileged and overtly angry about nothing. The fucking plug in costs less than $20 to begin with.

Jbridge is awesome. And during the purchasing process there are a ton of notifications telling you what version you are getting.
No problems here.

so you're calling the dev a "scammer" because you can't read? nice one.

It costs less to install both versions of Live. You don't really need to use the 64 bit app unless you need memory more than 4GB.Machinesworking wrote:Jbridge works fine. What if you need access to the memory (as most do) but you also need to use a few plugs that are 32bit only in the same project?kitekrazy wrote: It costs less to install both versions of Live. You don't really need to use the 64 bit app unless you need memory more than 4GB.
jBridge is perfectly fine as a solution. Can be a bit buggy from time to time but for the most part I think most have good success. As with purchasing anything, be sure to read things carefully. Most software is non-refundable as the license cannot be taken back.

in what way does his being from Portugal have any relevance to any part of your issue?kholland65 wrote: Jbridge is developed by some shady scammer from portugal, which I have just learned.
I don't think offering something for sale (and properly labeling it both in the webpage title, and within the header) really quite reaches the level of "scamming". That's more like "running a business".
Do you actually think that when developing his site, he was like "aha, if I properly label everything, eventually somebody will ignore the multiple references throughout the page, including the bright red warnings surrounding the "buy now" button stating what version it it, and then I'll be rich"?
