Push - Latency Issues
Push - Latency Issues
I've just started working on a new project in Live 9 using Push and i seem to be having some real latency issues. I've literally just started on the track and opened an instance of sylenth up and there's a major delay from when i hit a pad on Push to when i hear the sound in Ableton.
I've checked my buffer size and it's around 5oo ms which is where i normally have it, and i've never had this issue before using Push. I've tried it on a couple of other synths and i'm having the same problem, and i've opened a new set and still have the same problem.
I'm starting to get the shits with Push, i've had nothing but issues since i got it!!!
Anyone had similar issues?

Re: Push - Latency Issues
Unplug the push and use your keyboard as an input. The delay will still be there. 500ms is half a second BTW. That's a massive delay. I you're talking samples instead of ms, then that's about 10-12ms which should be relatively instant.
No issues with latency using my Push with both external soundcards and the internal mac soundcard.

Sorry you're right, i meant samples. My latency is 11.5ms which is why i don't understand why all of a sudden there is such a delay?
Re: Push - Latency Issues
a) Does that also happen when using a native Live synth (Operator, Simpler, Sampler....)
b) Have you checked all attack times? All set to 0ms (volume and filter envelopes)?
...just to make sure...

Same problem here. Have you found a solution yet?mozzatron wrote:Sorry you're right, i meant samples. My latency is 11.5ms which is why i don't understand why all of a sudden there is such a delay?

Re: Push - Latency Issues
what other USB devices are you using? and is your Push plugged into a USB hub?
Re: Push - Latency Issues
NI Audio 6 plugged directly onto the Macbook, same as Push.
Oh and it started with the update to V 9.1

Re: Push - Latency Issues
does it lag with a fresh set, just using onboard audio, i.e. without your Audio 6?
Re: Push - Latency Issues
quick update: the problem has solved itself by accident.
I plugged in my push at another macbook, where it worked as it should (very low latency). after that, it worked fine with my system as well. no idea why though.
