Yes, i've been a long time mac (and windows too) user but i'm sorry this has nothing to do with music.

I'll post on any thread I want to.

this is bullshit funken. ultimately you have no business teaching anyone anything. we know how well you know Live and music, you don't know much.

you're a sad, bored, lonely old man funken. log out, get some cats, move on with life.

To me, it is just plain spam. If you want to do a tip & tricks thread for mac users, just do one, not 6... and post this in an appropriate forum like the lounge or a mac specific forum. I hope, you know that music has nothing to do with mastering uber shortcuts, man so many time spent not making music...

mic check, mic check, one two one two
if you a mac user, this thread is for you
check, uncheck "move focus to status menu"
now your next thread should be about Ableton's Glue
"My fellow ABLETONS, ask not what your SESSION VIEW can do for you,ask what you can do for your SESSION VIEW."

Well good luck with your crusades in Music and Audio Production. I think they have a lower threshold for your brand of posting though. We'll leave the door unlocked in The Lounge.

As a little constructive criticism Funken. I would like to point out one specific thing about many of your posts that rubs me the wrong way. I feel that you do have the intent to inform people and have a genuine excitement and enthusiasm for your methodology.

But the thing that is somewhat off-putting is when you use pre-designated assignments as your draw in. What I mean is for instance, if you've found a useful shortcut, you will announce the tutorial by titling the thread "F10 to make such and such happen!" I think the art of customization often comes down to personal taste. I believe it would sound more clear to title things as 'Assign a key to the ability to do such and such!' That feels slightly more honest. It is a letdown for readers to see a claim for a specific key to do something and then discover it requires a workaround. And then perhaps within the post you can recommend a key binding.

You don't have to take that advice, but it is just one thing I've noticed and a gut reaction that I have.

However, best of luck doing what you do, and having a passion for quick and efficient mouseless Ableton Live adventures :)
