Re: version 9.1 RULES.
rule #3 be a realist
The dual window function doesn't work as a human would expect.
When I openthe midi editor in one window and then click on a clip in arrange view in another my view changes to whatever live wants me to see and not what I want to see.
1st complaint: Dual monitor support is broken/keeps changing the view for you.
2nd complaint: Live now hangs even more with a large set than it did before 9.1. I used to be able to wait a while and live would pull it self out of a couple minute hang, but not now. Live will just sit in a permanent frozen state until I kill it.
Live 9.1 reminds me of how unusable live 8 was when it first came out and when the introduced max for live.
People that dont complain when something is crap lack the vision of something being better. If no one ever thought that anything was crap we would not have any inventions.

Re: version 9.1 RULES.
do you get the hangs on both operating systems or is there a noticeable difference?
also, are you using the same interface and hardware settings on both?

Always had to be at least one kill joy
Re: version 9.1 RULES.
Yeah, but unfortunately people DO have problems. I'm not sure why. I'm pretty shallow with live and maybe that is why. I don't get into the really tweaky stuff and maybe that is where the problem lies.
But I like live. Other than 3rd party boo boos, it's really stable (and even those are few and far between)

And I use it on a known OS that has years of work. Mavericks is still getting the kinks worked out for live and drivers and 3rd party.
