This is a pretty basic question that I haven't even considered until recently when I got some new plugs that weren't intuitively named. I apologize if this topic is already on the forum somewhere, but I couldn't find it. I have all my .dll files in my plugin folder, and I was wondering if there was a way to change the name of the plugins in Live 9 (Windows 7) without actually having to edit the .dll file name itself. It can get confusing at times with so many plugins and would improve my workflow if I could give them custom names.
Thanks!

You can make subfolders in your vst folder with more descriptive names.. I have mine sorted by category which is enough for my purposes.
Also you can rack the vst and save it as a preset in your user library or wherever and give the rack a custom name.
