New music production book

Post by invol » Sat Dec 21, 2013 5:50 am

Hello Ableton peoples,

Close to 2 years ago I starting thinking about writing a book for independent electronic music producers, and it is finally available. While it is not Ableton-centric, Live gets a lot of love and it covers topics of interest to everyone on this forum. "The Music Producer's Survival Guide: Chaos, Creativity, and Career in Independent and Electronic Music" was a labor of love and covers topics not found in any other music production books.

It should be available soon in the Sound On Sound online shop in UK and EU, with paperbacks also on their way to retailers worldwide. The Kindle edition is available immediately and you can even check out a free sample now.

Yours truly,
Brian

P.s. A companion volume full of interviews will be out early next year, and includes interviews with forum regular Tarekith and Ableton Certified Trainer Laura Escude, among others.

Hi Brian,

Amazon.ca says that the Kindle version does not exist. Will it be available?

Thanks,

Araz

Hi Araz,

I'm not sure why it's not yet available in Canada, I'll have to check with my publisher. Can you use use amazon.com?

Cheers,
Brian

Thanks for checking into it Brian.

No, amazon.com does not allow it anymore... I used to buy everything from ".com" but now amazon forces us (Canadians) to use the ".ca" version.

Just wanted to let you know I purchased a copy of your book on Amazon. The book was set up on Amazon so you could look inside, so I read some of it and was really fascinated by it. I'm really looking forward to getting the book in the mail.

My copy finally arrived (amazon takes while in these parts)...

A fabulous book. I love the way in which it does not only look at the technical things, but also at all the cultural, psychological and spiritual aspects. Plus all the Bruce Lee quotes. Awesomeness. Thank you!
