Flam???

Post by kb420 » Fri Jan 24, 2014 4:56 am

Is there a "flam" button on Push??? If not, is there a quick and easy way to do a "flam" from the hardware??? I know that I can do it right in the software by just adding a note and sliding it, but since Push is a hardware controller that suppose to make life a little easier I thought it would have this simple function.

All the old Roland drum machines had it!!!!

There is no flam button. Should there be? You could flam in realtime or use the step sequencer to add that extra hit. If you're not into those things it's not ideal without a flam button but I like to do the subtle stuff in real-time personally.

The resolution of the Repeat button isn't really suitable for a flam (in the traditional sense) depending on your bpm maybe..

A flam is usually a very light ghost note that falls very close to the main hit. The Repeat button is really for people who are too lazy to play their hi hats in real-time.
