I've updated my computer since I first posted, see specs below.
Still stable with live and I added push.

Re: Post your rock solid PC or Mac config and audio card here
Feb 2011 MBP17 with 2.3Ghz CPU and 8GB RAM OSX mountain lion. RME UFX via USB, also NI Audio 10 DJ and Audio 2 DJ, a USB hub with various controllers, USB dongles etc. Main DAW is Live 9.1 suite with M4L (32 and 64 versions installed, both used), also have Logic 9 and Cubase 6 and Traktor, load of plugins from fabfilter, D16, NI komplete 8 ultimate, Spectrasonics, SPL, Melodyne DNA, 2c audio, some Waves also Sylenth1, refx nexus, alchemy and various others.
Generally used with 128 or 256 samples at 44.1KHz sample rate, but also good at 192KHz and 64 samples if I want ridiculously low latency for some reason (a little over 1ms) - ie if I want Live to basically be as responsive as a hardware fx box or synth.
Another nice aspect of this setup is that if recording I can just leave the audio interface recording to a USB drive all the time independent of the computer regardless of whether Im recording in live (might be fiddling in live while someone is doing some random stuff that happened to sound really good, so no oh-shit wasn't recording moments).

Nothing to see here - move along!
Re: Post your rock solid PC or Mac config and audio card here
Just a quick note: most info in this thread is insufficient if you're after a rock solid system that is sure to work. Performance specs and the model of the audio interface don't sum up to a "tried and tested" solid Windows DAW. You need to know at least the exact model of the motherboard and preferably other significant components, and then you'll have good layout of a core configuration that works reliably. Otherwise you risk getting DPC latency problems etc.
That being said:
CPU: Intel i7-3770K
Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V
RAM: 16GB (Corsair DDR3-1600 CL9, 4G x 4)
Video: i7 integrated, no separate video card
Audio: RME HDSPe AIO
Windows 7 64bit, only audio software installed.
This system works wonders compared to everything else I've used. The RME interface is a large part of that, but the system is super reliable otherwise, too. The DPC latencies are... nice:

Laptop: Lenovo G Series
Specs: i3 CPU at 2.2 GHZ, 8GB RAM, 7200 rpm HDD
Interface: Focusrite Scarlett 8i6
Plugs: Lots of instances of Reaktor and Zebra 2. 1-2 instances of FXpansion Tremor
Rock solid, have never had a single crash with any version of Live 9, or Live 9 Beta. Though because of my extensive custom Reaktor patches I do hit 90% CPU sometimes, though it doesn't glitch or drop anything.

Re: Post your rock solid PC or Mac config and audio card here
...you should probably tell us, what you're using it for...
it's easier to find a rocksolid configuration for some mp3-jaying
than for a crazy zero latency everything and then some more -setup.
might be interesting to know...

See my sig for the config.
Use Max For Live a lot, for audio and video work. Live crashes only during intensive and adventurous patching sessions, often involving working with Jitter, but never in live.
Lots of live, sound design and theater work. From 4 to 50 tracks, usually a good bunch of FX, native and VST / AU.

2013 Macbook Pro Retina
NI Komplete Audio 6
Live Suite 9.1.1

no Vsts
it s the most stable Setup i have had so far and i enjoy it very much.
at the Beginning it was quite strange to just make music or don t use it - i was used to configuration
and messing around as big Part of the "Audio Game"
