hi there,
Ive got the following problem:
during a jam, Id like to record vocals in the arrangement view, AND jam with drumrack/ vsts etc without
recording into the clips.
when I try shift+record button, the clip stops recording, the vocals continue recording BUT the pads
on push are basically disabled, I cant play drumpads etc.
to me this seems to be a BUG.
does anyone know a workaround?
thanks!

playing push while recording arrangement
Re: playing push while recording arrangement
Not sure if I'm clearly understanding you.. The drums also have to be record enabled to hear them. But yes, you will be recording them also into the arrange.

Re: playing push while recording arrangement
hi there,
the problem is, that with push normally you allways can play the instrument of an
armed track, wheter you are recording a clip or not.
when recording any track into the arrangement (in my case the vocals), its no longer possible
to play i.e. the drumrack of an armed (and selected) track. the pads are diabled and dont react.
it only works if you start recording a clip. this is a big problem for me, because I like to jam with a singer,
and sometimes when i find something interesting, I wanna record a clip, loop it, and then
continue jamming on top of that clip-without recording overdubs.
cheers

Re: playing push while recording arrangement
just tested it some more:
more precisely, if you start recording in arrangement, I can play the drums and record it (linear),
but when I switch to session view, and start a clip in the same track, the pads are disabled, and
dont come back when I stop the clip...
so being able to play the pads depends on the "back to arrangement" status of the track, wich is
I think unhandy. I cant imagine a situation where this behayviour could be usefull..
cheers
