i've been thinking about watching it for a while... it's in the instant cue. when i heard that season 2 was coming earlier today on NPR it gave me the twitch all the more.

I watched 4 episodes and then had to take a break. It was too much revolving around glad-handing or strong arming representatives to pass legislation. I realize that’s an important part of the show but it seemed like a little too much focus on that for my taste. Also I find the whole investigative journalism angle tiresome, probably because I don’t like any of the actors in that plot.

On the other hand, I think Spacey's part is more refined this time round. In season 2, he convey's able to convey his thoughts with a simple glance at the camera, whereas season 1 relied too heavily to long, often irrelevant soliloquies. I'm also enjoying watching him gradually push the President and Tusk apart.

The problem with marathoning House of Cards is you start feeling like you’re watching actual coverage of our government at work and the real problem is its probably spot on. The only gaping discrepancy is not showing the 60% of their career and day that representatives spend begging for money for their current or future campaign.

I agree with this. I was completely finished watching all of season 2 some time Saturday night. I have to say that this season was not as good as the last.beats me wrote:I watched 4 episodes and then had to take a break. Most of this season was long drawn out shit leading to an obvious event. I feel they could have put all of this season into to 2-4 episodes if they would have cut out all the boring filler. Maybe they dont have anything to write about.,
After watching this season I get the feeling we will have to wait 2 more years to find out the real fate of Frank... I personally cant wait for him to go to jail. It is a show though and there is no sense in getting all wrapped up in this season, not that its a complete dud it just isn't on par with season 1 and they barely touch the surface of the events that happened in season 1.
Hes a real scumbag that Frank.
