Olympics
Been watching. Very nice this year.
However, the number of male athletes with a massive amount of facial hair is rather staggering.

Re: Olympics
As was the number of female athletes with a massive amount of facial hair.
Re: Olympics
All I know is the rampant reports of guest accommodations being deplorable there, including construction still being done and workers just entering rooms without permission or knocking. Lots or reports of yellow water, water not working, or guests being told not to use the water because it’s toxic. WTF?

This and the U.S. still being butt hurt over the Snowden thing. What kind of gummed up mind doesn't question these playground tactics. Bunch of children.TomViolenz wrote:^ To me it seems like a coordinated smear campaingn by the western media though, I don't remember so much about this kind of stuff during Bejing or Barcelona for that matter.
Take this together with the sudden interest in gay rights by all the western politicians and I think it's obvious they want to distract from their own fascist tendencies and paint a new Russian boogyman. Some people seem to really miss the cold war

The mod basically said 'we don't have time to check every fucking thread. Funken and the other guy were getting on our last nerve and we think it could have been due to politics.'beats me wrote:aaaaand lock thread.
and I took that as
' you can talk about politics just don't act like a whiny bitch or a nitpicking fuck... so talk about the tics of pol but we are going to pretend that we don't know about it'

But did you see the content of that thread? One minute we were making superman jokes and the next Forge intentionally goes full on Luftwaffe. Some people just want to see the world burn I guess.

Re: Olympics
Just watched the female halfpipe and after the last run the top 4 chicks were hugging and rubbing each other and I was seriously hoping to see some spontaneous making out.
Sadly, it was not to be.

Re: Olympics
I really couldn't care less about the Olympics. I used to be very enthusiastic, but it has waned into nothing. I did watch the men's ski jumping just now, though, and I have to say that it was absolutely awesome seeing Noriaki Kasai win the silver medal. I remember way back when he was the first jumper to be rewarded 20 style points with the "V style". I'm pretty sure that must have been 22-23 years ago. That's simply outstanding.
